1. Introduction games
1.1. INICIAL RITUAL
Aim:
Connect to the others in an indirect way, develop imagination, perception,
getting touch with a participants through metacommunication, reveal the motivations and expectations.
Description:
It’s a welcome procedure, where three people are selected, to enter in a small
room, blindfolded. Three facilitator is waiting for the participants in a
room. The background music is some pagan
Indian genre. The blindfolded participants are conducted in the room, walking
toward a table and anywhere in the room. They are touched by a lot of things,
instruments (the ideal is music instruments). At the end, they are brought to a
chair, where they can take the blindfold and understand now they perceived the
room in a totally different. This is for them to be open minded, in the other
side of the table sitting will be the coordinators that will ask what they
felt, if they liked and why they choose the exchange/training course, what is
their motivation (more question can be made).
Duration:
10-12 minutes / sections with three participants
1.2. TIES AND LIES
Aim:
Contact building
Description:
Each person cuts one sheet of paper in form of tie and with a dress pin puts in
his/her clothes, after writing three sentences (two to be entirely true and one
to be a lie). When everyone has their one tie, they start to walk and chat -
trying to discover which the other person’s lie is, and to get more knowledge
of the other person with the true sentences.
Duration:
20- 30 minutes
2. Name games
2.1. NAME AND MOVEMENT
Aim:
introducing, warming up the body

3-4minutes
2.2. INTRODUCING ME AND YOU
Aim: Getting in touch with each other
Description
: Everyone walks around, when they meet each other shake hands and whisper his name, age and
country. After some seconds, the participants will continue to walk, shake
hands and tell the other person’s name, age and country (whom they are shaking
hands) the person then reciprocally says the other person information as well.
Duration:
5- 8 minutes
2.3. HIDE BEHIND THE BLANKET
Aim:
Memorising names, cooperate
Description:
Participants are divided into two groups. All of the participants have to sit
on the ground and face each others. Two participants hold a scarf, so the
participants from both groups can’t see each other. One of the participants
from each group has to go in front. As the scarf falls down, the two
participants standing in front of their group, have to tell the name of the
other. The one who tells the name faster “wins” and the other one has to join
the “winner’s” group.
Duration:
8- 10 minutes
2.4. NAME WITH RHYTHM
Aim:
develop the sense of rhythm, memorizing names
Description:
It is a rhythmic game. There are four
claps. One person starts with two claps. Then the third one is for telling
his/her name and the last clap is for the name of other person. This person
continue in a same way. First two claps are free, then his/her name and then
the name of other person.
Duration:
5 minutes
3. Ice-breakers and
energizers
3. 1. WATER/GROUND
Aim:
to be concentrated
All
of the participants stand in one row. In front of them lays a scarf. The scarf
represents the „border“ between water and ground. As the moderator of the game says „water“ all
of them have to jump in front of the sarf. As moderator says „ground“ they
have, either to say in the place (if they are behind the scarf) or to jump back
if they are „in water“ (if they are in front of the scarf).

3-5 minutes
3. 2. THE BOMB
Aim:
to make a good atmosphere, be concentrated
Description:
The participants stay in circle and passing a ball with hands to each other.
One participant in the middle and playing clock with the sound „tic-toc”. When
the participant playing the clock says “BOMB”, the participant in the circle
who has the ball in his hands is out of the game.
Duration:
3- 5 minutes
3.3. CAR/GARAGE/RACE
Aim:
Using body movements for symbolize a character,
to make a good atmosphere, to be concentrated

3. 4. DRAWING ON THE BACK
Aim:
Contact, collaboration in groupwork
The
participants are divided into two groups and stand in rows. The people standing
on the end of the row agreed on what they should draw on the person in front,
on his back. The second one should pay attention of what the person behind him
is drawing on his back and try to draw the same thing on person’s back,
standing in front of him. Then the last person in the row have to draw on a
paper what he thinks the drawing was. At the end the group of the person who
draw the same drawing as the person in the beginning get the point.
Duration:
5 minutes
3. 5. PIFF PAFF
Aim:
to be concentrated, to apply rules through games
One
participant will be in the middle of the circle. He will shoot someone by
pointing the finger and saying “PIFF”, the shot participant must go down, and
the lateral participants should be fast to kill each other, by pointing and
saying “PAFF”. Normally goes to the middle the person that was shot with
“PAFF”, it can happen that the lateral shooter said “PIFF” instead of “PAFF”,
so the participant goes to the middle and it can also happen had the person
shot with “PIFF” didn’t went down, so he/she should go to the middle.

5 - 8 minutes
3. 6. HORSE RIDING GAME
Aim:
moving together, use the same
signal, to be concentrated
Description:
We are standing in a circle. We imagine we are in a horse race. We have to drive a horse through barriers. When the facilitator says: " Horse
riding": everybody imitate that movement; "barrier" : everybody jump; "a man": imitate to
smoke , " a women" : to fan; " kid" : to laugh. The
facilitator list the rolls.

3. 7. BOOM
Aim: to be concentrated, create a joyful
atmosphere
Description: In a circle, the person designated to go
first says the number "1", and each participant thenceforth counts
one number in turn. However, the participants must replace every number
divisible by 7 (e.g. 14, 21) or containing the digit 7 (e.g. 17, 27, 72) with
"BOOM". Who does an error is out of the game.

4. 1. CONCENTRATED WALK IN
THE SPACE
Aim:
Use the space, orientation, concentration, contact to the others, collaboration
Participants
have to walk in the class room and just concentrate on the walking, as if they
are alone in the room. ( 1- 2 minutes)
Than
participants have to walk in the class room, but now have notice that there are
other people in the room. While walking they have to encounter each other eyes
and make eye-contact for one second. ( 1- 2
minutes)
Than
participants walk in the class room, notice the people in the room, make
eye-contact and stop for five seconds, looking the other one in the eyes. ( 1-
2 minutes)
Than
participants walk in the classroom, notice the people in the room, make
eye-contact and stop for five seconds, looking each other in the eyes. While
making the eye-contact, they can touch each other with a point finger. ( 1-
2 minutes)
Than

4. 2. CONCENTRATED WALK IN
THE SPACE WITH EXPREESING EMOTIONS
Aim:
expressing emotions through inner work
The
Participants walk in the room, as they are alone, noticing nobody around them.
Now they are instructed to stop, close their eyes and try to imagine
a situation where they were really happy. After, they have to open the
eyes and start to move, expressing the feeling.
( 2 minutes)
Then
the participants walk in the room, as they are alone. Now they are instructed
to stop, close their eyes and to try to imagine a situation where they
were really excited. After, they have to open the eyes and start to move, but
now with expressing the feeling with different parts of their body, as
instructed. For example: feel the excitement in the legs.. ( 2 minutes)
Duration: 4- 6 minutes
4. 3. FREEZE AND MOVE
Aim:
to build contact, express feelings by moving, take attention to the partner, collaboration
Description:
Participants are in pairs. One of them starts the game by expressing some move
towards the other, without touching him, and freezes. The other waits for the
first one to freeze and then expresses some reaction on the move he/ she made.
After reaction, the second one express action towards his partner, again
without touching him, and freezes. The action and reaction continue for some time.
Duration:
4- 6 minutes
4. 4. EYES CLOSED
Aim:
to learn trust, take responsibility to the
other

4.5. ENERGY POWER
Aim:
relaxation, to build contact with a partner
Description:
The participants will get in small groups of two people. One of them will close
the eyes, while the other, without touching will move the hand around the
partner’s body (e.g. head, arms) during a relaxing music. Then the technique
will be use in vice-versa, the other will close the eyes, while the other will
now have the active role.
Duration: 7 minutes
5. Team building exercises
5. 1. SPIDER WEB
Aim:
Collaboration, develop concentration and skill
Duration:
To pass through the web we had 20 minutes but it can last longer.
5. 2. CHAIR RUNING
Aim:
create good atmosphere, getting touch with each other
Description:
Every participant will be in circle and sat on a chair. The coordinator while
say an affirmation (e.g.: I like cats) or negation. Taking in consideration the
example, the participants that like cats move to the next chair, if the chair
is not empty, they should sit in the other person lap. If it happens that the
person can only move if there is no one in their lap. The game finishes when
one of the participants was able to return to his/her place by doing a full
circuit.
Duration:
7- 10 minutes
5. 3. FOLLOW THE LEADERS'
FIGHT
Aim:
Group building, express the anger through movements, collaboration
Description:
The group is parted in two and two part time leaders are established. These two
leaders "fight" against each other through movements, mimics and
sound - without touching each other. The leaders can react concerning the
action of the other one and their group had to copy the movements. After some
time a new leader will be established.
Duration:
from 5 -7 minutes
5. 4 HIPERBOLIC CIRCLE
Aim:
express and exaggerate feelings
In
a circle, the first person does a normal movement (some action/dance/jump,
etc), the second does the same movement but in a larger way, the third person
does in a very exaggerated way, then the fourth person starts again with a
normal movement and so on (this game goes in circle and always go three in
three participants)
Duration:
5- 8 minutes
5.5 . SIAMESE TWINS
Aim:
to collaborate, feel empathy and moving together
Description:
Starts with music, everyone walks in the room. At some point the coordinator of
the game starts to deliver the task that the participants should connect one
part of the body and walk as if they were truly connected. After they join of
group of two to another group of two, the coordinator will join the entire
group in one. The participants will be set free the same mode they were put
together, slowly and following orders.
Duration:
about 10 minutes
5.6. MOUNTAINS
Aim:
understanding communication and for making people active and energized with the
screams
Description:
The group is divided in two teams. Each group does one line, and these two
lines are separate for at least 5 meters. With an imaginary background story,
people from one group will yell to the other at (everyone at the same time),
after the other group will answer the same way. This is a good exercise for understanding
communication and for making people active and energized with the screams.
Duration: 7- 10 minutes
6. Sculpture convention
6.1. SCULPTURE PREPARETION
Aim:
to prepare participants the sculpture convention, they should gain step by step
more safety to apply that.
6.1.1. SCULPTURE IN CIRCLE
The
participants stand in circle. Each one of them, one by one, have to walk into
the circle, make some move and freeze. Through the movement they should express
some emotions or any other thing that they want to share or show.
6.1.2. SCULPTURE IN PAIRS
Participants
are in pairs. One of them have to express himself by movements and then freeze.
The other one have to find three or more positions in which he can complete the
other. Then the rolls change.
6.1.3. SCULPTURE IN TWO
GROUPS
Now
the participants are divided into two groups and stand in circle. Then one
person from the group have to enter inside the circle, express himself by
movement and freeze. Afterwords, every person form the group, one by one, have
to complete the first one, making a sculpture. When everybody is in the
sculpture, they start to go back on their place, where they were standing in
the beginning, in the opposite order of that they joined the sculpture. Participants have to take turns, so every one
of the group could be the first one to express himself with a motion.
6.1. 4. SCULPTURE IN ONE
GROUP- CRYSTAL
Participants
stand in the circle. Then one person from the group have to enter inside the
circle, express himself by movement and freeze. Afterwords, every person form
the group, one by one, have to complete the first one, making a sculpture. When
everybody is in the sculpture, they start to go back on their place, where they
were standing in the beginning, in the opposite order of that they joined the
sculpture. Participants have to take
turns, so every one of the group could be the first one to express himself with
a motion.
Duration:
15 - 20 minutes ( the four phase together)
6. 2. SHAPE A SCULPTURE
The
participants will get in small groups of two people. There will be music in the
background. One person will close the eyes, while the partner will move his/her
articulations in order to create a sculpture. Then the technique will be use in
vice-versa, the other will close the eyes, while the other will now have the
active role as sculptor.
6. 3. STOP GAME
Aim:
Develop improvisation skills through short plays
Description:
All of the participants stand in circle. Two of them come in the middle of the
circle and start to play some rolls, only with movements and sounds. The roll
playing has to be connected - one have to observe what the other one is doing
and react or act on his moves. The other participants can join the play, one by
one. If someone wants to join the play, he has to clap his hands and when he do
so, the pair in the middle freeze. Then the one who claps the hands goes inside
and touches the one for who he wants to leave the play and replaces him. The
new one who entered can change the direction (flow) of the play as he wants.

5- 8 minutes
7. Evaluation
7.1. SHOES SHOW
Aim:
to map the contacts in a group
Description:
There must be construct a large square, and explained that each person should
put one of their shoes were they feel like, having in considerate that the
edges of the square means that they feel far from the group, and the center
means they are extremely happy with everything. Then people should speak why
they feel that way and what they can do (not what other people should do) to
feel better. This is a general approach and gives people more freedom to speak
about what they desire.

7. 2. FIVE EPIC FINGERS
Aim:
give a feedback
Description: Other approach to evaluation with different
objectives is the use of the fingers, giving them meaning. The first
finger/digit is the thumb (the good things), followed by index finger
(important things), middle finger (the worst thing), ring finger (connections),
and little finger/pinky (what needs to be improved). This is a much more
specific approach and can miss some things.

: Depends on the topic and the number of participants
7. 3. YOUTHPASS MOMENT
Aim:
get the reward in an artistic way
Description
: This is the last circle game. In the middle there will be all YouthPass
spead, a volunteer will go and grab one, read the name (for him/her) and will
represent that person (which has the name written in the YouthPass) with sound
and gestures. Everyone can try to guess. When the imitation is recognized, the
person imitated will go to the center, shake hands and receive his/her
YouthPass, and then it will be his/her turn to grab randomly a YouthPass from
the center and represent the person identified in the certificate. This last
until the last person receives the youth pass.
